Recruiting Report: Nick Walker (2018)
Last year, there were many trips outside of the local area to find more and more prospects in the state of Indiana. Within those trips, we were able to stumble upon Henryville (IN) guard Nick Walker and he has impressed every since.
Walker, a 6’2 combo guard, has a diverse skill set and provides a lot of different avenues for production. His big and plenty capable as a ball handler to lead a team at the point if needed. That is accented by his rebounding ability where he likes to grab and go quickly up the floor.
Outside of his play on the ball, he’s a very good scoring threat. He’s a capable shooter from distance and plenty capable of taking his man off the bounce and creating into the lane. His size and build allow him to provide defensive versatility at the high school level where he can pretty much defend 1-3.
Many schools have already checked in on the standout from down south. Schools like Earlham, Franklin, Anderson, Malone, IU-Kokomo, and Olney Central have extended interest. Walker is still taking a look into his options and is open right now.
