Recruiting Report: Kenny Strawbridge (2018)
Rockford Lutheran 2018 shooting guard Kenny Strawbridge is a scoring guard that can shoot it off the catch and is a solid pull up mid-range guy as well. He gets out in transition on occasion too for a score. Strawbridge played on the UAA circuit with the Illinois Wolves on the grassroots scene. He spoke about his final run on the circuit.
“The spring I was hurt most of the time because I sprained my ankle during the middle of the high school season so I sat out most of the spring. July we did good at the UAA Finals. I think I played good overall.”
What areas in his game is he focusing on developing?
“I am starting to develop more attacking the basket. Not just being a spot up shooter, but attacking the hole as well.”
He chatted with PHI about getting back together with his high school team in June.
“We did good. We lost a lot of seniors and a lot of our points. We have a lot of younger guys. It is good growing with them. We went to multiple college team camps.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I have one offer from NIU. I like the culture there. I like the coaching staff and I know some of the players. I like how it is close to home.”
North Dakota State is another school showing interest.
