Recruiting Report: Jordan Kwiecinski (2020)
Loyola 6’6” forward Jordan Kwiecinski is a player in the 2020 class that brings a lot of versatility on both ends to the table. When we evaluated him with the Illinois Wolves 15U in July we were extremely impressed with what he did on the defensive end. Used his length to block shots, rebound, and got steals anticipating passing lanes. Was able to defend both forward spots. Offensively he runs the floor great and finished well inside. Skilled passer too.
He chatted with us about his experience playing with the Wolves.
“I think we did alright. We won a couple tournaments. We lost to a really good team in Atlanta. I think we have a ways to go, but I think we are doing alright. I think I need to play stronger. Defensively I think I am doing well. Offensively be a little more aggressive.”
What are the strengths in his game?
“Blocking shots, mid-range shooting, and ball handling for my size.”
The rising sophomore spoke about his June with Loyola.
“It was good. We lost Patrick Baldwin to transfer. We are still a pretty tall team with me and my brother. We are going to be young. We have a lot of shooters on our team.”
He has several high majors showing early interest.
“I have an offer from DePaul. I went to Indiana for a visit. Princeton. I have gotten some letters from Tulane.”
How was that Indiana visit?
“The campus is beautiful. The head coach was really nice. We got to watch them workout.”
DePaul was his first offer.
“Them getting Tyger Campbell is big. They are recruiting in the area and trying to keep it local. It was my first offer.”
