Recruiting Report: Joel Adese (2018)
Class of 2018 power forward Joel Adese is a name that not a lot of people know about in recruiting circles at this stage, but could be a great find at the small college level next spring. The 6’7” four man from La Salette Academy has good strength. He is a bouncy forward that finishes well around the hoop. Shows some ability handling it slashing with power. The tough four man played with the KC Pacers on the circuit.
How did the summer go running with the Pacers?
“It has gone really well. We lost a few games, but overall it has been pretty smooth. I have played pretty good, but I can be better always.”
He told us a couple areas of his game that he felt improved throughout the last few months.
“I think I have improved handling the ball and shooting it a little better.”
During June he got back together with his high school team which has a talented roster.
“We went 4-1 and played pretty well. The only game we lost we lost by 3 points and didn’t play good defense. We can always improve in that.”
What are the strengths of his game at this stage?
“My rebounding. I can go on the offensive glass. I can always help the team with free throws.”
D2 Quincy is a program that he says has reached out to his high school coach at La Salette Academy. His high school coach Alex Anderson also mentioned that Cedarville and UIS are showing interest.
