Recruiting Report: Aaron Shoot (2018)
Aaron Shoot is a 2018 combo guard from Quincy High School that can really let it fly from deep. He is best as a spot up shooter, but can also handle it on the ball some and is a solid athlete. Improved quite a bit as a passer over the last couple years. Shoot quietly put together a very solid July with three nice weeks for Quad City Elite.
He enjoyed playing with the QCE boys one last time.
“I liked it a lot. It has been a lot of fun playing with these guys. It has been a blast! I thought I played well. I think we have improved significantly as a team. We have come really far.”
How would he describe his game?
“I feel I am a true point guard. I like to get other people involved and penetrate. I primarily like to get in the lane and kick it out as well as finding my bigs.”
Shoot chatted with us about June getting back together with his high school team.
“It went pretty well. We had a lot of guys step up. Ben Amos is coming up. He was a junior last year and will be a senior this year.”
Toward the end of July Shoot landed a D2 offer from Wisconsin Parkside. He says a couple other schools are keeping tabs on him.
“Sioux Falls and Eastern Illinois have reached out.”
