Recruiting Report: Aaron Henry (2018)
One of the top stock risers in the country since the beginning of the AAU season has been Ben Davis (IN) wing Aaron Henry. He’s been as consistent as anyone and now it is paying off with more than 20 offers in hand. However, he’s already cut his list down to his Top 5.
Those top programs in Henry’s mind right now are Butler, Ohio State, Illinois, Xavier, and Michigan State. Michigan State and Illinois are among the most recent offers he picked up and are big Big Ten brands. Illinois not so much recently but with a new head coach and a new direction with Brad Underwood, they were able to get Henry on campus this last weekend to show them their vision.
Butler and Ohio State are two programs that had coaching changes as well. Butler was in recruiting Henry a bit before Chris Holtman and staff took over the reigns at Ohio State but they had yet to offer. Now, they have since offered. Butler’s new head coach came in and immediately offered and got Henry on campus.
Now, the rising senior will have to make some decision regarding official visits or a commitment. He has been to Illinois and Butler recently but has yet to go to Michigan State as a legit recruit. It has been reported by Scout.com that Henry will visit Ohio State and Xavier for unofficial visits in the coming weeks.
