Prospect Spotlight: Jordan Toles (2020)
Jordan Toles, a class of 2020 guard from Baltimore, had a breakout performance at Hoop Group Future All-American Camp. Toles, who has played the game since second grade, looks ready to play a major role on both ends of the floor for St. Frances during his upcoming sophomore campaign.
“Aggressive. An assassin on defense. I like to play on the ball on defense,” said Toles of his overall game. “I think my defense is the most underrated part of my game.”

Toles consistently showcased his explosiveness throughout camp, and was selected to the dunk contest as a result. He’s always been able to beat people with his speed, but Toles now understands the importance of not going 100 miles per hour all the time.
“I’ve improved in a lot of areas. My change of speed. Ball handling. Finding the open man.role. I’m expected to be more of a lead guard for my high school team. Scorer, rebounder. A little bit of everything,” Toles explained. I need to work on my mid range pull up.”
George Mason hosted Toles at their Midnight Madness last season. Xavier, Maryland, Virginia, Denver, and Hampton are among the other schools currently expressing interest. Toles, who says he has a 3.5 GPA, must keep working on his ball handing and mid range. What does he think he can bring to a college program?
“Aggression. Heart. Fight. I compete, so you can’t really ask for more.”
