Predicting the DMV’s Top Scorers (Part 3)
In anticipation of the upcoming high school season, we will be taking a closer look at various teams and players throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia. In this edition we anticipate the top scorers in the DC Metro Area.
JARED BYNUM | GEORGETOWN PREP ’18
It’s no secret that Jared Bynum can put the ball in the basket. One thing we really like about the St. Joe’s commit is that even though he’s a very good three point shooter off the dribble or the catch, he does a nice job getting into the lane where he’s a creative finisher in traffic. Expect Bynum to rack up the foul shot attempts, and be the most consistent scorer for the Little Hoyas.
BRYCE DOUGLAS | CENTREVILLE ’19
Bryce Douglas made a splash with a very productive debut season at Centreville. He led the team in scoring, was named conference player of the year, first team all region, and led the Wildcats to a conference championship. Expect the talented scoring guard to put up even better numbers after a productive summer with DC Premier.
JADEN FAULKNER | ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ’18
Roosevelt loses two of their top three scorers from last season, but look for Jaden Faulkner to fill the void and potentially be one of the very best bucket getters in the area this year. The long limbed 6’4 guard is crafty with the ball, and impossible to keep out of the lane. Faulkner sees the floor well, and will always look to get others involved if he doesn’t have a clean look.
ALEX FITCH | ROCK RIDGE ’19
At 6’4, Alex Fitch possesses an intriguing blend of size and shooting ability on the wing. The rising junior, considered an elite shooter in the region, has been lighting it up this summer and we expect an impressive debut season for him at Rock Ridge.
VADO MORSE | BULLIS ’18
As we saw this summer, keeping Vado Morse out of the paint can be a nightmare for opposing defenses. An underrated shooter, the Mount St. Mary’s commit is so good at finding holes in the defense and applying consistent pressure. Look for Morse to lead a balanced, and very well coached Bullis team this year.
