Prep Hoops takes a look at what’s happening in the Palmetto State this week.
Jimmy Nichols (2018) has taken his list down to 3 schools for next season. Nichols a top 5 player in the 2018 Class in the Palmetto State plays at Conway HS. Nichols has cut his list to Miami (FL), Providence and South Carolina.
Nichols 6’8 left-handed forward played AAU with Garner Road on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit this summer. Nichols will look to lead a talented Tigers squad this season. Nichols averaged 16 ppg and 10 rebounds last season.
Nichols was named Mr. Hoop Zone last season presented by ABC 15 News in the Pee Dee.
Darius Rhodes (2018) has informed Prep Hoops that he has transferred to Wilson HS (Florence) for this season. Rhodes has been on the varsity since his freshman season at nearby Hartsville HS. Rhodes played AAU with the Carolina Wolves.
Maliek Wilcox (2018) has informed Prep Hoops that he will be attending Legacy Charter (Greenville) this coming fall. Wilcox a point guard is a transfer from South Pointe HS. Wilcox played AAU with the Upward Stars York County squad this summer.
Devin Ramsey (2019) has enrolled at West Ashley HS according to Wildcats Head Coach Ronnie Dupre. Ramsey has played the past few seasons at Northwood Academy. Ramsey 6’6 played AAU this summer with Upward Stars Southeast 2019. Ramsey averaged 10.1 ppg and 6.6 rebounds last season for the Chargers. Ramsey started his career at First Baptist as a 8th grader.
Dallaz Corbitt, Kyle Rawson and Kyran Rawson all will play this coming season at Heritage Academy on Hilton Head Island. The trio played last season at 22FT Academy in Anderson, SC. Corbitt (2019) played with the Karolina Khaos this summer.
Rawson played with Gateway Basketball Club based out of St Louis, MO. Gateway Basketball Club played on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit. Rawson 6’9 left-handed skilled forward has been hampered with injuries this past season.
