The new school year is fast approaching at the summer AAU season is officially over. Some kids have finally made a decision on where they will be headed to school at this fall. Read this article for all the latest happenings in the Palmetto State.
Damon McDowell (2017) will play his college basketball at North Carolina Wesleyan University (NCAA D3) this coming fall. McDowell played just a half of a season at Carolina Forest HS this season. McDowell 6’3 slender sleek wing was ranked #40 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
McDowell averaged 14 ppg for the Panthers this year. Panthers was recently playing AAU with Flight 22 Select. McDowell will look to battle for a starting spot next season for the Battling Bishops.
Jeff Hintz (2017) will do a post-grad year at Combine Academy – Atlanta this coming fall according to his father David Hintz. Hintz played the past 2 seasons at North Myrtle Beach Christian. Hintz 6’7 averaged 17 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this season for the Stallions. Hintz was ranked #122 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this season.
Hintz played AAU with Flight 22 Select this spring and summer. Hintz completed his 2 year career with the Stallions with 929 points and 363 rebounds. Hintz averaged 20.2 ppg over his career.
Kendrick Holloman (2017) will do a post-grad season at Stillwater Prep in Fayetteville, NC. Holloman informed Prep Hoops of this decision recently. Holloman played his high school career at Lee Central HS (Bishopville).
Holloman averaged 16.5 ppg this season for the Stallions and helped them win a region championship. Holloman scored over 900 points in his high school career.
Delmar Moore (2018) will not return to the Palmetto State for his senior season. Moore 6’6 forward will return back home to Ohio and play at Warren G Harding HS in Warren, OH. Moore averaged 5.4 ppg and 4.1 rebounds this season at Greer HS. Moore played this July period with the SC Supreme and Zion Williamson.
