Palmetto State : 2020 Early look
Prep Hoops SC will be launching its new rankings next week for the 2020 class. Here are some kids that should make some noise in this coming season.
Jalen Coit – Cheraw HS
Coit averaged 24 ppg last season as a freshman for the young Braves squad. Coit a left-handed off guard seems to be more comfortable off the ball. Bret Swanson – Swanny’s Roundball Review first saw Coit play as 8th grader when playing with Big Shots 14U. This past season Coit ran with Upward Stars Southeast 2020.
Jordan Burch – Hammond
Burch recently arrived at Hammond from Wilson HS (Florence). Burch has made his way to the capital city to play for the Skyhawks. Burch is currently playing football and looks to be picking up some high major interest on the gridiron as defensive end.
Burch played as a 8th grader for South Florence HS while attending middle school. Burch a left-handed 6’5 man child is very versatile on the hardwood.
P.J. Hall – Dorman HS
Hall was a pleasant surprise this past summer for Upward Stars Upstate Blue. Hall 6’7 is a skilled and athletic big man with a very bright future. Hall should look to contribute to the Cavaliers lineup this season.
Brenton Benson – DW Daniel HS (Central) (pictured on front)
Benson plays big on both sides if the floor. Benson 6’5 averaged a modest 5.4 ppg and 4.8 rebounds last season for the Lions. Benson plays on the football field as a wide receiver. Benson played AAU with Team South Carolina.
Dashawn Murray – North Charleston HS
Murray constantly has his motor running at all times. Murray defends the passing lanes very well and excels in the transition game. Murray likes to chat it up at times on the floor and is always looking to stir up the pot some for his team. Murray has limited perimeter skills but prefers to shoot the baseline jumper. Murray played with Big Shots Elite SC 15U.
