Notebook: Indianapolis Elite Camp – Forwards
INDIANAPOLIS, IN | This weekend gave us a look at two major colleges in the state of Indiana at their Elite Camps. The University of Indianapolis was held on Sunday and brought in a ton of talent including a lot of out-of-state players. Here is our look at those standouts from the forward spots from the camp.
Zach Rinehart – 6’7 PF – 2019 – Avon (IN)
Rinehart was really good scoring the ball against other true bigs. He was able to show good post moves and was productive throughout the day. He did a little bit of work in the mid-post but would like to see how he can operate at the free throw line. He has some handles and if he can space the floor out a bit, his value could become higher.
Nate Childress – 6’6 PF – 2019 – Zionsville (IN)
Nate is a big forward who showed the ability to be really aggressive. He showed that during the summer as well but it isn’t there all of the time yet. If he can show the motor in every game, with his size, strength, and athleticism, he could become a really big prospect in this class. He definitely showed the athleticism on Sunday.
Ryan Segall – 6’10 C – 2019 – Indianapolis Homeschool Warriors (IN)
Segall was pretty solid on this day. He showed a little more fluidity with his size and was good from distance when he did look to shoot. Has some explosion to his jump and is getting into that area of his game more clean, giving him more time to make the play. For only playing for a few years, he’s coming along well.
Hogan Orbaugh – 6’8 C – 2019 – Zionsville (IN)
Hogan showed a lot of stuff at the camp. He was good from the low post where he has good scoring ability. He even knocked down a three in one of the games which isn’t a part of his game yet. He’s going to have to defend stretch forwards a little more but he’s good enough on offense right now that you can’t stop him either.
