JULY STOCK RISERS: Wings (2019)
Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at who raised their stock during the July NCAA evaluation periods.
JULY STOCK RISERS: Wings (2019)
Noah Butler, 6’4, F, 2019, Free State (Kan.) KC Run GMC
We have gone back and forth about Butler’s future as a wing or a power forward at the next level and he has the skills to do a little bit of both. He’s strong and physical, yet can handle the ball a little and has an improving 3-point stroke.
Malik Hall, 6’7, SF, 2019, Sunrise (Kan.) MoKan Elite
Hall has emerged as one of the state’s premier prospects after a strong summer with MoKan Elite’s 16U squad. He now holds a host of offers from Power 5 programs … Hall has terrific size and the ability to score at all three levels. He is a good rebounder and passer and can get to the basket and score in the paint.
Zack Harvey, 6’4, SF/SG, 2019, Topeka Hayden (Kan.) KC Run GMC
One of the state’s premier players in any class, Harvey added to an impressive offer list after a strong July. He is an athletic wing player that combines a terrific skill set with an athletic frame and a calm, smoothness to his game.
Brett Chapple, 6’5, F, 2019, Lawrence (SSA Elite)
One of the state’s true glue guy types, Chapple is a winner who does a little bit of everything at a high level. He is a terrific rebounder and defender and showed he was able to take his game to the post this offseason.
Jacob Coleman, 6’4, F, 2019, Basehor-Linwood (MoKan Select)
Coleman put together a nice offseason and appears poised to take on a large role this upcoming season with Basehor-Linwood, a team that will be undergoing a lot of turnover this season. Coleman is an athletic inside-outside type who can score in the paint or step out and shoot from the outside.
