JULY STOCK RISERS: Bigs (2019)
Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at who raised their stock during the July NCAA evaluation periods.
JULY STOCK RISERS: Bigs (2019)
Matthew Chapman, 6’7, PF, 2019, Blue Valley Northwest (Kan.) MoKan Select
Chapman is a big man with a long, rangy frame and a diverse skill set that can play in the paint or on the perimeter. Is coming into his own over the offseason and could secure a larger role with BVNW this upcoming season.
Josh Earley, 6’7, PF, 2019, Bishop Miege (Kan.) KC Run GMC
Earley has waited his turn at Bishop Miege playing behind a talented group of front court players, but he enters the upcoming season as one of the state’s top risers. He holds offers from Denver and xx but we see him adding to that list over the next year. He has a big, physical frame, plays bigger than his listed height and combines raw power with explosive athletic ability.
Zane Meeks, 6’7, PF, 2019, Shawnee Mission East (Kan.) KC Team Rush
Meeks is a strong interior defender and has some mobility. Runs the floor well, rebounds and brings some toughness and physical play to the paint. At the offensive end, Meeks shows a smooth, repeatable 3-point stroke from distance. He projects as a knock down shooter as he gets older and could develop into a stretch 4 at the next level.
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, 6’8, PF, 2019, Bishop Miege (Kan.) KC Run GMC
An athletic and skilled 6’8, 190-pound forward, Robinson-Earl displays advanced footwork in the post for a player his age, but has a well-rounded game that allows him to step away from the basket and play on the perimeter as well. He is an elite rebounder and does a really good job of grabbing boards outside of his area. He holds offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa, Creighton and others.
Siler Tschirhart, 6’7, PF, 2019, Blue Valley (Kan.) KC Spurs Black
Strong, physical presence in the paint who has good hands and catches everything, He has an old-school game, wants to post up and score tough buckets in the paint. He has improved his outside shooting and can now step out to 15 feet and knock down shots.
