Intro: Traevon Brown (2019)
West Aurora 2019 Traevon Brown is a quick twitched point guard that excels in the open floor. He pushes tempo and flies down the floor. Speed is the name of the game with this prospect! Upside with his athleticism and speed.
He talked with PrepHoopsIllinois about playing with the Illinois Stars this summer.
“We were in the PowerAde league. We went to the finals and took second place. We got a of upsets and we weren’t predicted to go that far. I played good. My coach has been happy with me and my dad has been telling me how proud he is of me. My varsity coach has been talking to me a lot about this upcoming season.”
What are the biggest strengths in his game?
“I am really fast. I am in track. I am a good jumper. I went down state in track for that. I am a good shooter. I have range. Handles. I can do better on my IQ.”
Brown transferred to West Aurora where he will play his junior season. He told us how it went with his new team in June.
“That went really good. We won every game by 20+ points. It was so easy because we get along with each other. They went to sectionals before I came over. Everybody is coming back and I am an addition to the team.”
