Around the State : Richland County District 2 (2018)
The 2018 Class in Richland County District 2 is not very deep at all. The underclassmen in this district will be very bright in the years to follow.
Robert Braswell – Blythewood HS (pictured on front)
Braswell was first seen by Bret Swanson – Swanny’s Roundball Review when he arrived here in the spring of his freshman season. Swanson first saw Braswell play at the Icebreaker AAU Event in North Augusta, SC with the G.W.P. Sixers. Braswell had just arrived from Germany.
Braswell 6’8 small forward played this past summer with Team United EYBL. Braswell has received interest from South Carolina State, Old Dominion, Jacksonville, Charlotte, James Madison and Stetson this summer.
Jonathan Breeland – Blythewood HS
Breeland has really come into his own this summer. Breeland will look to get back the Bengals to the 5A State Championship Game next March in Columbia, Breeland has a nice pull-up mid-range game. Breeland tends to play a bit out of control at times but he does keep the ball close to his vest. Breeland played AAU with the South Carolina Tigers 17U.
Naquan Addison – Spring Valley HS
Prep Hoops first saw Addison in April in Columbia-Big Shots. Addison plays with a bit of swagger on the floor. Addison a combo guard ran AAU with Team United South Carolina 17U this past AAU season.
Deryk Paulk – Richland Northeast HS
Paulk is a 6’6 post player for the Cavaliers. Paulk is looking to be more of a factor this season in the Cavaliers offense.
Savion Dawkins – York Prep (York)
Dawkins recently informed Prep Hoops that he will be leaving Blythewood HS for York Prep this coming fall. Dawkins 6’4 wing had a good summer playing AAU with the South Carolina Tigers 17U. Dawkins really improve on hi perimeter shooting. Dawkins generally plays every possession like its his last one. Dawkins tells Prep Hoops that he received a scholarship offer from South Carolina State.
