Around the State : Greenville County (2019) – Part 1
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at 2019 kids in Greenville County in this article. This class seems to be pretty solid in the years to come including the 2020 class.
RJ Campbell – Southside HS (Greenville)
Campbell a post player ran AAU with Game Elite 2019 Black this summer. Campbell a thick framed player rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor. Campbell likes to play wih contact in the paint. Campbell will look to form with Jamal Burke and Tuzion Brock to bring back a 3A State Championship to the Tigers again next March in Columbia.
Cooper Fowler – JL Mann HS
Fowler is a big burly post player with a soft touch. Fowler 6’9 played AAU with Upward Stars Upstate White this summer. Fowler left-handed sets screens and keeps the ball up high when rebounding it. Fowler seems to be better suited a half court style offense. Fowler always seems to be around the ball and in good position on the floor.
Collin Fowler – Riverside HS
Fowler a 2 sport athlete also plays baseball for Riverside HS. Fowler a left-handed guard plays a bit of a old-school game. Fowler uses the set shot a lot in his arsenal. Fowler a crafty passer stands at 6’3.
Jimmy Fritzsche – Greenville HS
Fritzsche 6’6 post player made the move over to Greenville HS after playing at nearby Riverside HS last season. Fritzsche a back to the basket player can use his left hand very well to finish inside the paint. Fritzsche and Fowler played AAU with the South Carolina Sonics and Head Coach David Bentley.
Fritzsche a tight end on the gridiron is a very supportive teammate on and off the floor.
Matthew Kormylo – Southside Christian (pictured on front)
Kormylo 6’4 shooting guard averaged 27.1 ppg last season for the Sabres. Kormylo a bulls-eye shooter from behind the arc played AAU with the Upward Stars Southeast 2019 squad and Head Coach Austin Reid this summer.
