Team Preview: Blue Chip Nation 16U
The Blue Chip 16U team has had a very successful club season. The group will continue their play in the Las Vegas Live basketball tournament as well as the Adidas Summer Championship in Las Vegas on the last weekend of the live period.
This group is extremely well balanced with solid guards and tough posts. Alfred Jordan does a great job managing the tempo and setting his teammates up for success while Blaise Threatt stretches the floor at a high level. Although Otis Frazier and Brandon Kron are not the typical size of a 4, they are both tough on the glass and provide great versatility for the team. Below is the rest of the roster and the watch list for the rest of July.

Blue Chip Nation 16U Watch List
Brandon Kron
Despite being an undersized Forward, Kron is a walking double-double who competes at an extremely high level. His motor and work ethic create many opportunities for himself. In addition, even though he might give up a couple of inches at the Power Forward spot, he is well built and has good athleticism. Kron can play the three at then next level, but he will need to continue to improve his ability to shoot it from three.
Blaise Threatt
Threatt is a knock down shooter who stretches the floor well for this team. In addition, he provides decent size and length at the 2 guard spot. Threatt is an interesting prospect to watch and should be poised for a break out season this year at Chaparral after averaging 7 points per game at the varsity level last year.
Otis Frazier
Frazier provides a strong one-two punch at the forward position with Kron. Much like Kron, he has a good motor and gets after it on the glass. Although this team only has one player over 6’5, they do a great job on the glass due in large part to the efforts of Frazier and Kron. Frazier is fresh off of a season in which he was honored as a first team all-region player in the 4A Southwest Region. Frazier, along with the returning prospects at Buckeye, should be prepared to have a great year.
