Team Preview: AZ Venom 17U
AZ Venom, a club team that is primarily based out of the west valley, will be traveling to multiple live periods this July. DJ McNeal and Daniel Foster are the primary leader of this club team. The team has made some noise due to how hard and scrappy they play. McNeal and Foster are usually relied upon to create for themselves and for others. These guys play well together and take pride in doing a lot of the little things that are necessary to be successful.
Here is the roster and watch list for the AZ Venom 17U squad.

AZ Venom 17U Watch List
DJ McNeal
– McNeal has by far the most college level ability out of anyone in this group. He has a great basketball IQ, gets into the paint at will, and shoots the basketball from deep at a high rate. He has a knack for finding a way to make big time plays on the offensive end and the defensive end. Comparative to the skill set he possesses, McNeal is one of the most under recruited players in the state. It would be a travesty if McNeal walks out of this live period without some sort of interest or offer – he can flat out play.
Daniel Foster
-Foster is a game changer. He shoots the basketball at an extremely high level off of the dribble and in catch and shoot situations. He has improved his ability to attack the rim. In addition, he has added a nice step back jumper that he hits consistently. He does a good job of keeping the ball in front defensively, and he does more than his part on the glass. Foster and McNeal are as competitive as they come and should be poised to show college coaches that they are next level products.
Eric Fahy
– Fahy rebounds the basketball at a high rate despite being an undersized 4. He is a scrappy player who understands his role and does whatever he can to contribute. Fahy plays anywhere from 3 to 5 despite his size. However, his motor and work ethic make up for what he lacks in height.
