Team Preview: Arizona Hype 2018s
Arizona Hype, which is primarily based out of the west side, is competing this weekend at West Coast Elite. Currently, they are 1-2 with more games to play tomorrow.
Arizona Hype has made some news this Spring and Summer due in large part to solid guard play and their length. Dhol Majak, 6’10 PF/C, has made some news as of recent and has received interest from NAIA schools as well as NCAA Division I. In addition to Majak, many have been extremely impressed with Ramon Franklin, 5’7 PG 2020.
This team, although it does not feature many big name prospects, has a number of solid players who have good upside. They have the potential to make some noise this July.

Arizona Hype 2018s Players to Watch
Ramon Franklin
– Franklin is a really crafty guard who is playing up and having a lot of success. His speed enables him to get from point A to point B in a hurry. In addition, he makes good decisions with the basketball when he gets by the first level of defense. He is a capable shooter. Moreover, his ceiling should continue to rise as he has plenty of time to grow and improve.
Jabari Sutherland
– Sutherland is a tremendous athlete with group strength and a good skill set. He finishes well around the rim and does a nice job of using the spin move to continue his dribble and make progress into the paint. Furthermore, he is explosive off of the bounce and is liable to put an unsuspecting victim on a poster. He has NAIA and NCAA Division II potential.
Saad Adams
– Adams is the lone 2017 prospect on this team and has a lot of skill. He is a long combo guard who gets into the paint well and can shoot the basketball from 3 at a high level. He will need to put on more size at the next level, but he is capable of guarding multiple positions at a high level. Adams is a solid prospect who should play this game at the next level.
Dhol Majak
– Majak is a little raw in certain areas, but he has a motor and plays extremely hard on the defensive end of the floor. He can guard out of his position and brings a lot of length to the floor. In addition, he is a knock down shooter who could be used as a stretch four and has a soft touch around the rim. He still has work to do but has been receiving a lot of next level interest due to his work ethic, motor, and potential.
