Recruiting Report: Marley Sume (2019)
Marley Sume, a class of 2019 guard at Paint Branch, had some nice moments at the BSN Summer League. We expect him to pick up his production, and become a key contributor for the Panthers this upcoming season.
“I’m aggressive on both ends of the floor. I can guard multiple positions, and I can attack the rim very well. I get my teammates involved, and I have a high basketball IQ,” Sume explained. “I’m a pass first player on the court. I want to get my teammates involved.”
The Panthers will be a team to reckon with this season, and Sume is part of a talented returning core. He has worked hard this offseason in anticipation of a more significant role.
“I have improved communicating with my teammates, being better leader on the court, and being more confident taking shots,” said Sume. ” I need to work on my ball handling, and shooting. Also finishing with contact better.”
Sume says he has a 3.0 GPA. Holy Cross, and Catawba are two schools that are actively recruiting him. Sume says he will be visiting both schools in August. What can he bring to a program at the next level?
“I can bring versatility, leadership, a strong work ethic, and teamwork to a college program.”
