Recruiting Report: Logan Miller (2018)
Logan Miller is used to sharing the paint with another good big man. But playing with several others at the same time has helped him take his game to another level.
Miller, a 6-foot-7 forward/center with Comets Servaty by way of Princeton has enjoyed a strong AAU season and is drawing a lot of college interest.
“It’s gone really well,” Miller said of the spring and summer. “This is my first year playing with the Comets and I couldn’t be happier with it. The competition – we’ve been playing at a high level in great tournaments and I’ve gotten a lot better. So I’ve really enjoyed the spring and summer a ton.”
Miller’s always been something of a traditional center throughout his career. He’s a thick and physical player who does his best work in the paint. He sets solid screens, hits the offensive glass hard and has solid footwork on the blocks. He’s also a strong interior defender and has shown the mobility to defend on the perimeter.
But he’s worked to expand his game with the Comets to better market himself to the next level. He’s comfortable shooting to the mid-range and is working on developing his ball handling ability even further.
“With this team I’ve gotten more experience playing with wing type basketball and I think it’s taken my game to another level,” said Miller. “I’m hoping to solidify the ball handling and shooting skills I’ve learned over the season and open as many doors as I can.”
Miller’s drawn a lot of college interest to this point.
“I went to Macalester’s camp and I’ve been on the phone with a number of NAIA DIIs,” said Miller. “Also visited Northland College and Wisconsin River Falls. I haven’t decided anything yet and I’m going to take more visits later in the summer.”
