Recruiting Report: Both Gach (2018)
Both Gach is one of the more versatile backcourt players in the state of Minnesota’s 2018 class and some day in the future he will be playing college hoops at a big level.
Both first showed the state of Minnesota that he can hit from the arc as a freshman at Austin. He then became a better ball handler playing both guard spots as a sophomore hitting shots and attacking off the bounce.
As a junior Both hit shots at the arc at a high percentage, he beat nearly everyone off the bounce, and his high level passing ability began to show through. This spring he has played 17u hoops with both D1 Minnesota and Powerhouse Minnesota (his current team).
“I think the part that has grown the most this AAU season is my confidence in believing I can play with anyone,” Gach told Prep Hoops today. “My focus the rest of the summer is to keep on improving my game and working on my body.”
Last weekend Gach was a key piece for the Powerhouse MN team that finished second in the Adidas Prospect Series. Where can you see him this week?
“We are playing in the Bigfoot Classic and I hope to just go out there and play my game and do the right things that will set me apart from the others,” Both said.
“Off the court I’m just looking to have fun with my teammates as this is the last time we will be together for awhile and just enjoy this week.”
As far as recruiting goes the coaches of Gach have heard from numbers division one schools at both the four year and junior college level. Both told NHR that this August he “may check out a couple of colleges”.
Gach averaged 18.6 points per game for Austin who finished as the runner-up in the Class AAA state tournament this year.
