Recruiting Report: Fardaws Aimaq (2017)
Fardaws Aimaq – 6’10” | PF | AthELITE and Steveston-London Secondary School, Richmond, Canada.
Fardaws stepped inside the gym at Bellevue College this past weekend to do some work on the floor. Aimaq is one of the best big men in the Class of 2017 and proved that at the NW PREMIER SHOWCASE in Seattle, Washington. He’s had a great spring so far and is looking to continue turning college coaches’ heads in July.
Fardaws plays his AAU ball with AthELITE a NIKE SPONSORED AAU PROGRAM and Steveston-London Secondary School, Richmond, Canada where he plays his high school ball. With a 6’10” frame, he showed that he can guard out on the perimeter at the showcase as well. His jumper is looking more consistent and he is a threat from deep. Aimaq is currently receiving interest from a multitude of programs at the D1 high-major and some mid-major level but is looking to see what July brings.
I think by now, Fardaws has proved himself to be if not the best, then right there as the best mid college big man in the state. He has the frame and scoring ability to really do some damage down low. At 6’10, his frame is going to add a ton of strength and he’s proven that he can reasonably defend face-up four men which gives him a little more flexibility. Better have offers by the end of this month.
In a win on Sunday against Total Package 17u, Fardaws posted 25pts 16rebs 5blks. In another win on Sunday he posted 23pts 12rebs 4blks. On Saturday played his best game of the weekend posting stats of 31pts and 15rebs. As he grows and matures so will his game. He hasn’t even peaked yet, which is scary.
