Prospect Spotlight: Jordan Morris (2018)
Proviso East 6’5” 2018 forward Jordan Morris is built like a truck with tremendous strength and an NFL defensive lineman’s body. Morris consistently plays with an all-out motor. Goes hard every second he is out on the floor. He is best using is athleticism and toughness in transition finishing above the rim. Also plays strong on the glass. Not an overly skilled prospect he relies on his physical gifts and explosiveness. Did show improvement with his passing this spring with Kessel Heat 17U. Low end D2 prospect or high end D3/NAIA.
Morris talked about his final spring with Kessel Heat who he has played with throughout his career.
“The spring has gone well. We are playing as a team and as a whole. Individually I think I am doing good. Playing hard.”
What areas of his game have evolved the most this spring?
“Playing on the perimeter. Since we got Jalen Shaw I have been out on the perimeter a lot dribbling and ball handling.”
We also noticed his passing has made major strides.
“That is something I really take pride in. Moving the ball and getting my teammates involved. That is what I like to do.”
He averaged approximately 15 points per game this past season for Proviso East.
“I think I made major steps and next year I think I am going to do good.”
Morris doesn’t have much college recruiting interest at this time.
