FIBA SC: Function at the Junction
Preps Hoops was at the Function at the Junction this weekend. Function at the Junction was held in Darlington, SC. Here’s a look at some of the players that stood out here today.
Daequan Thomas Florence International 17U Lee Central (Bishopville) 2018
Thomas very athletic 5’9 point guard is a pass first guard. Thomas plays very calm and patience while on the floor. Thomas hits the open shots. Thomas will look to lead the Stallions this coming season with the graduation of several seniors.
La’sauhn McFadden Florence International 17U Trinity-Byrnes (Darlington) 2018
McFadden 6’2 shooting guard is a very confident shooter. McFadden has a nice mid-range game. McFadden averaged 15.4 ppg and 6 assists last season for the Titans. McFadden will look to lead the Titans back to Sumter and the SCISA 2A State Tourney next season.
CJ Miles Florence International 17U Trinity-Byrnes (Darlington) 2018 (pictures on the front)
Miles 6’3 a slender-sleek left-handed guard has come into his own over the years. Miles has the ability to hit shots from all 3 levels. Miles also plays baseball and is a pitcher for the Titans in the spring. Miles averaged 11.2 ppg and 5.2 rebounds last season for the Titans.
Sammy Pressley Carolina Stampede Mullins HS 2019
Pressley 6’3 forward that can rebound the ball on both sides of the floor. Pressley will shoot the mid-range jumper or drive it to the basket. Pressley plays bigger than his size. Pressley never takes plays off when he’s in the game.
Mhalik Sharpe PG Ballers Chesterfield HS 2019
Sharpe 5’10 combo guard has a nice mid-range game. Sharpe is a good on the ball defender averaged 7.2 ppg last season for the Rams.
Caleb Cofield PG BALLERS Central (Pageland) 2019
Cofield a very athletic 5’9 combo guard hit a few floaters in the lane today. Cofield a pesky defender created havoc at times on the defensive end. Cofield also plays football for Central.
