Prep Hoops SC took in the action the past few days from Big Shots – Myrtle Beach 3. This article we will focus on players that were playing in the event from the 2017 class.
Brandon Miller and Michael Wright both were teammates at Pinewood Prep and with the Palmetto Elite here. Miller a point guard will play at Combine Academy-Charlotte next fall. Wright a small forward will take his game to Moravian Prep in Hickory, NC this fall.
Antron SmithAntron Smith was one of four members of Big Shots South Carolina to have found a school for next fall. Smith who played at Loris HS this past season will play at Olive Harvey College in Chicago, IL this coming season.
Keenan Norman, Javier Brookins and Raheem McClam will all remain teammates this coming season at USC-Salkehatchie. The trio play this past season at Dillon HS. The Wildcats made a great run to the 3A State Championship before falling to Greenville Southside.
Miller, Wright, Smith and Norman were all ranked this past season in the Prep Hoops Top 125 in the Palmetto State.
Justin Thompson 6’3 made the trip down to the Grand Strand playing AAU ball with Black Bear North. Thompson will continue his career at Husson College (ME) (NCAA D3) next season.
Thompson helped Black Bear North win Big Shots-Myrtle Beach 3 that finished today. Thompson a 3-time 1st Team Penobscot Valley Conference All-Star. Thompson was a finalist this past season for 2017 Mr.Basketball in the State of Maine.
Thompson averaged 28.4 ppg, 14.5 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 2.3 steals this season at Schenck HS. Thompson finished his career with 1,756 points. Thompson is 2nd all-time at the school in scoring behind his mother Stephanie Thompson. She scored 2,167 points and won 3 state championships in 1987, 1988 and 1989.
