Big Shots : Charlotte 2018 SC Players
Prep Hoops SC took in the action at Big Shots : Charlotte this weekend. The event featured several programs from both the Carolina’s. Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some of the 2018 class members from the Palmetto State in this article.
Nilous Hodge – Comenius School (Fort Mill) / QCAA
Hodge 6’3 shooting guard is a vocal player on the floor. Hodge shot wasn’t really falling today for him. Hodge has a really good mid-range game when he has it falling and has the ability to slash to the rack. Delaware State has offered Hodge according to QCAA Head Coach Edward Addie.
Hodge will have a minor surgery in August according to Addie. Hodge will have surgery on a bone chip in his knee.
Starke Salmons – James Island HS / Premier Jammers
Salmons averaged 17 ppg last season for the Trojans. Salmons 6’2 plays better off the ball as a shooting guard. Salmons played in the spring with Big Shots Elite South Carolina. Salmons has a nice pull-up jumper in transition.
Jackie Jackson – West Ashley HS / Premier Jammers
Jackson 6’0 combo guard really defends on the ball. Jackson plays with all-out hustle on every possession. Jackson dove on the floor and took a few charges here today for the Premier Jammers.
Randall Litmon – West Ashley HS / Premier Jammers
Litmon arrived later in the day for the Premier Jammers. Litmon runs AAU with Game Elite Black 2019. Litmon wing player has transferred over to West Ashley HS this fall after playing the past two seasons at Northwood Academy.
Brandon Pirie – Cardinal Newman / South Carolina Kings 17U
Pirie plays off the ball as a shooting guard. Pirie generally needs time and space for his shots. Pirie likes to work the corners for his shot. Pirie averaged 19.3 ppg in action for the South Carolina Kings this weekend.
McRae Morehouse – Anderson Christian School / Carolina Hoopzters (pictured on front)
Morehouse likes to pop off screens for open looks. Morehouse connected on 9 three pointers this weekend for the Carolina Hoopzters.
