adidas Gauntlet Standouts
The Adidas Gauntlet Finale
Jayden Gardner 6’7, 2018 (Heritage HS/Team Loaded NC)-Gardner was the physical forward that we have all become to know playing at Heritage HS. This week playing with Team Loaded NC, Gardner used his wide shoulders and weight to get easy scores in the post and showed some nice footwork. He is a good defensive rebounder and can find a man and box him out for easier rebounds. He is steadily showing why he should be considered a Mid-Major prospect.
Feron Hunt 6’7, 2018 (Urban DFW Elite)-Hunt had a great week at Finale. He showed a great ability to grab offensive rebounds and came up with some
huge defensive rebounds securing wins for Urban DFW. He has some nice athletic ability, wants the ball in his hands and is a leader. His stock should rise after this past weekend. Houston, Western Kentucky, Wichita State and Tulsa have offered.
Messiah Jones 6’6 2018 (Butler Elite)-Jones showed a knack for scoring the basketball, crashed the glass, finds ways to score from all over the floor. Averaged around 18 points per game for the week.
Kenyon Duling 6’2 2018 (Butler Elite/Morgan Park HS)-Duling is a strong and athletic guard, he does the dirty work and is not afraid to get involved and take some hits down low. He is a do-it-all player that college coaches should want to have on their team. The kid wins at every level he has been at.
Kaden Archie 6’6, 2018 (Urban DFW Elite/Midlothian HS-Great ball skills, great size at 6’6 and high-level athleticism. Keeps the ball on a rope, gets into the lane and can finish. Scoring mentality and can create for teammates.
Landers Nolley 6’7 2018 (Team Loaded NC)-Another strong week from another Team Loaded NC guy. Nolley is a skilled wing that can get hot from deep, has a great motor and is a solid defender.
Nate Hinton 6’6. 2018 (Team Loaded NC/Gaston Day)-Hinton had one of the top 5 performances at Adidas Finale. Scored from all over, showed his athleticism and showed that he can knock down the mid-range to outside jumper on a consistent basis. That was the key and he showed that he can do that night in and night out. Scored 17 points in the final.
Travion McCray 6’2, 2018 (West Florence HS/Karolina Khaos)-McCray is one of those players that gives it his all on both ends of the floor. He has a great motor and never seems to get tired. He is a strong athlete and is best in transition when he is able to get to the rim.
Dontrell Shuler 6’2, 2018 (Legacy Charter/Karolina Khaos)-Shuler solidified his stock as a HM player. He is taller than his brother Devontae and does
everything just as well. He has a great motor, quick in the open floor, knows where to take his shots, a defensive hound, plays his heart out. Averaged around 23 points per game this week.
Nigel Hawkins 6’4, 2018 (YESIISUCESS/Cypress Falls HS)-The Houston bred Hawkins had one of the best performances of the week when it mattered most, against Team Loaded NC in the finals. Finishing with 26 points on an array of scoring. He knocked down shots from all over and attacked the rim and finished. Not a blemish on the game for Hawkins. Has offers from South Alabama, South Florida, Texas A&M, Rice, Texas Arlington, SFA, UC Riverside and Houston.
