Recruiting Report: Terrance Joseph (2018)
Helen Cox’s 6-foot-4 forward Terrance Joseph may not be playing grassroots ball this spring and summer, but he’s still seeing some Division I interest start to come in.
Louisiana’s 35th-ranked 2018, Joseph mentioned some in-state Division I programs and one NAIA institution that’s recruiting him right now.
“I’m being recruited by some schools; Tulane, Southeastern, Northwestern State and Xavier (LA),” said Joseph.
“It’s letters in the mail, and we’ll talk every now and then. The school that’s coming after me the most is Southeastern, and I think I could get an offer from them this upcoming season.”
An athletic and aggressive playmaker, Jospeh defined his playing style in his own words to PHLA.
“My strengths are basically just bringing intensity on defense. Also, I’m a slasher, high energy, very athletic,” said Joseph.
“Something I’m really working on is my ball-handling, and my jumper has been getting a little better, but I could still work on that a little bit more.”
As a junior with the Cougars, Joseph played a key role in the team’s success, and says he enjoyed the free style of play he was able to play.
“My role was basically to just play my game, I have a freestyle type of game with that team, and I was able to be free out there,” said Joseph.
“I think last year I did pretty well, but this upcoming season, I’m looking forward to bettering my game, being more of a leader, and hopefully leading us to a state championship.”
In the meantime, he’ll forego grassroots ball this summer, and workout on his own to prepare for his senior season.
“This spring and summer, I’m going to have a personal trainer, and we’re just working on the basics for this upcoming season,” said Joseph.
