Recruiting Report: Kenny Pittman (2018)
Simeon 2018 shooting guard Kenny Pittman has had some explosive moments this spring with Young & Reckless on the spring circuit. He is known as a perimeter shooter and has been on fire in a couple of the outings we evaluated him! Pittman hits threes off dribble penetration. He shot it with a ton of confidence. Short and crisp stroke. Was especially special shooting it from the corner. Shows improved handles mixing in drives on occasion. Pittman is a D2 prospect at this stage. With more consistent play like this he could move into low-major consideration.
Pittman didn’t see a ton of minutes for the Wolverines as a junior, but has continued to work on his game including his ball handling.
“I am trying to make myself a combo guard instead of just a knock down shooter and combo guard. I can play a little point and take pressure off guys.”
What does he see as the best part of his game?
“My shot has always been there. I am picking up my defense and my lead guard skills.”
What colleges are showing the most interest in him at this time?
“I talk to Drake constantly every week. Coach (Justin) Brim said Bethune Cookman and Ohio have talked to him. I also talk to Tennessee Martin.”
No offers on the table yet, but Drake is heavily involved.
“They stay in contact with me. They show me much love. I am going to go on a visit there.”
