Recruiting Report: Isaiah Miller (2018)
Isaiah Miller, senior guard for the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons and Fury Antl 17U, is a smart and crafty guard who contributes in several ways on the basketball court. He has helped Fury to a 22-8 record so far this year, with a big-time win against Powerhouse as a highlight.
“AAU season has been going pretty well,” Isaiah said. “We’ve had some ups and downs, but overall it’s been a good season so far. I like how close our team is on and off the court.
“Personally, I’ve really started to finish better at the rim recently with both my high school team and with my AAU team.”
Some MIAC colleges have reached out to Isaiah, who values many things past basketball.
“I’m looking for something that is close to home and that has a good business program,” said Isaiah. Macalester and Hamline are two basketball programs that have both reached out to him. “I think for me to play college basketball, it would have to be a good school… I would say there is probably a 50 percent chance (of me playing basketball in college) right now.
“I’d have to love the school and feel at home, and I would have to make sure that playing basketball in college would benefit me.”
Miller is one of Armstrong’s top varsity returners and will surely benefit from playing alongside national recruit Race Thompson. His father, Greg, has been the head coach there for several years.
