Recruiting Report: Dashon Enoch (2019)
OPRF’s Dashon Enoch is one of the top combo guards in the state’s 2019 class. He has size and strength that make him a powerful lead guard. Enoch knows how to utilize his physical gifts to affect the game. He can drive with the best of them with a quick initial burst that allows him to get to the rim where he finishes well through contact. Biggest area of improvement in his game is his perimeter shot. Used to be a streaky shooter, but looked much more comfortable pulling up from three when we saw him with Made Men. Learning how to use screens in the pick and roll better. Rebounds well in traffic for a guard. Tough pit bull of a combo that is projecting as a D1 prospect.
Enoch spoke about his sophomore campaign.
“It went good besides the last eight games when I couldn’t play because of the residential stuff. We beat Curie so we had a good run in the playoffs. I think I played good I was more of a secondary type scorer because we had Jared Scott and Cam Gross as bigs. It was fun.”
What area has he improved the most?
“Jump shot. I lot of really good reps in the gym on my shot and have improved it.”
The 2019 combo talked about the strength of his game.
“Getting to the basket. I feel I can get to the basket against anyone.”
How is it going with Made Men 16U this spring on the grassroots circuit?
“We have a lot of work to do. We lose some games that we shouldn’t lose, but we will be alright in July. I am the best player and have to lead and be vocal.”
One college has been showing him the most attention.
“I have interest from Western Illinois. They told me they are going to keep a look out for me and will talk to me in June.”
