Recruiting Report: Caden Freetly (2018)
Wear Out The New Ewing has been one of the best teams in the state during the AAU season and a big reason for that is a roster full of multifaceted players. Caden Freetly fits that description to a tee.
Freetly, a 6-foot-5 forward from Farmington is something of a jack-of-all-trades player and his play this spring/summer has gotten him noticed by a lot of schools.
“It’s been a great spring so far,” said Freetly. “We’ve picked up a lot of good team wins and we’re enjoying playing together a lot. I think I’ve been playing well. Doing some good things on defense, rebounding and helping the team in my role.”
Freetly is a strong defender with the ability to guard multiple positions all over the floor. He’s a solid off-ball offensive player too as he sets good screens, scores off cuts and can knock down 3-pointers.
“I’ve always been an okay shooter but that’s really picked up this year,” said Freetly.
WOTN has a few tournaments left this summer and between that and the time he’ll play with his school team, Freetly said he’s focused on getting better and helping his teams win.
“I want to get myself out there,, get noticed more and play my game the way I can,” said Freetly. “Help the team out as much as I can and help push our team to be the best we can be.”
