Prospect Spotlight: Noah Butler (2019)
LAWRENCE, Kan. — One of the state’s top 2019 players, forward Noah Butler is taking his game to new heights this offseason.
A strong and physical inside-outside forward, Butler has improved his outside shot with a lot of hard work. He remains a tough match-up with the ability to drive to the bucket and finish in traffic.
Butler currently does not hold any offers, but has been in contact with several Division I programs, including Denver, Nebraska, Nebraska-Omaha, Illinois and Drake.
“I’ve been working on my outside shot and getting my handle tighter,” Butler said.
Butler has put together a strong run this spring while playing for KC Run GMC 16U squad. The team features a host of talented performers and has earned national acclaim.
“AAU has been going great,” Butler said. “I’m playing with KC Run GMC and the whole spring was amazing.”
This offseason, Butler has made the move to Lawrence Free State and the squad put together a solid June competing at KA-MO Shootout and Kansas Jayhawk Team Camp. Butler says it has been a seamless transition thus far.
“I already know all of my teammates from growing up and all we want to do is win and they understand that,” he said. “June has gone great and I can’t wait for November.”
