Prospect Spotlight: Kenyon Duling (2018)
Kenyon Duling is kind of the unsung player on Morgan Park. He is a physical 6’2” wing that brings a lot of toughness and power to the table. He gets after it on the defensive end with his nonstop motor. Won’t let opposing wings feel comfortable. Gets out for occasional transition scores. Rebounds well. He can hit the three, but at times is streaky. Quality small college prospect.
Duling is running with out of state Butler Elite this spring on the 17U level where he has been able to show more of his repertoire.
“It is going good. I am expanding my game. Putting the ball on the floor. Getting my overall game better. I feel my foot speed has improved. My ball handling and making better decisions. Having a higher basketball IQ. I am playing with good guys on my team. I just have to be tough out there.”
What was his junior year like at Morgan Park being part of a team that made history in 3A?
“It went great. We won a state championship. Not to many people can say they did that. We are looking to repeat next year. As a senior I feel I am obligated to get another state championship.”
Look for Duling to be a rock solid role player for the Mustangs next year bringing his toughness, energy, rebounding, and scoring bursts to the table.
