Prospect Profile: Cam LaChance (2018)
Players who can impact the game without needing to score are incredibly valuable in the right environment. Cam LaChance is an excellent fit with Fury Antl because of just that.
LaChance, the 6-foot-4 forward from Eagan isn’t a big time scorer, but his ability to rebound, screen, defend and do just about everything else on the court allows him to get minutes.
“[The season] has been going really well,” said Lachance. “I’ve improved a lot. I credit that to coach Brandon [Antl] and the Fury program.”
A combo forward who does his best offensive work as a screener and on the offensive glass, LaChance makes his biggest mark though on the defensive end of the floor.
“I take pride in my defense especially,” said LaChance. “That is probably the main part of my game and what got me on the court in the first place. Rebounding is something I’ve improved at and my scoring is what most of my coaches want me to do more of. I’m working on that a lot and it’s coming along.”
LaChance is hoping to draw some college interest over the remainder of the summer and he said he’s looking forward to playing a few more tournaments with the Fury as well as with his high school team.
“I’m just focused on improving and carrying that into my senior season,” said LaChance. “I want to improve on my scoring especially but also just keep rounding out other parts of my game.”
