Palmetto State : Recruiting News
Prep Hoops SC has made several stops this past month through the Palmetto State watching several Team Camps along the way. Prep Hoops SC has picked up some recruiting news and tidbits to share in this article.
Jeff Hintz (2017) has informed us at Prep Hoops that he will look to either attend Combine Academy in Atlanta or Charlotte next season. Hintz played the past two seasons at North Myrtle Beach Christian School where he averaged 17 ppg and 6.8 rebounds this season for the 15-9 Stallions. Hintz finished his career with 929 points in 2 seasons. Hintz played AAU this past spring with Flight 22 Unsigned.
Keenan Norman, Javier Brookins and Raheem McClam all will attend USC Salkehatchie next season. The trio just finished up there high school career at Dillon HS. The Wildcats lost to Southside HS (Greenville) in the 3A State Championship Game this past March.
Norman 5’9 undersized shooting guard was ranked #90 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 this past season. Norman averaged 16.2 ppg this season for the Wildcats.
Brookins 6’3 averaged 9 ppg and 6 rebounds this season for the Wildcats.
McClam 6’4 can play some inside-out on the floor and feels comfortable hitting a 8-10 footer.
Malik Cokley 6’0 Laurence Manning Academy (Manning) is still looking for a school this coming fall. Cokley a left-handed guard will need to entertain junior college according to Swamp Cats Head Coach Will Epps. Cokley averaged 9.6 ppg and 3.7 assists this season.
Cokley really excels in a uptempo style of play. Cokley played some AAU this past spring with the Manning Gators and the South Carolina Hornets.
Johama Tisdale 5’10 C.E. Murray HS (Greeleyville) is still looking for a school this coming season. Tisdale was named Region Player of the Year for the War Eagles. Tisdale a left-handed point guard averaged 17.3 ppg and 3.8 assists this season. Tisdale also excelled on the football field as a defensive back where he had 4 interceptions this season.
