Prep Hoops takes a look at some recruiting news from around the Palmetto State this week.
Luke Brenegan (2017) has decided to attend Fork Union Military Academy (VA) next fall for a post graduate year according to his father John Brenegan. Brenegan ranked #78 in the Prep Hoops Top 125 was a All-State performer for Wade Hampton HS (Greenville) this past season. Brenegan averaged 21 ppg and 5 rebounds this season for the Generals. Brenegan was named Region Player of the Year and Greenville County Player of the Year this season.
Tay Kershaw (2017) just finished his high school career at Gaffney HS. Kershaw informed Prep Hoops that he will play at Combine Academy – Charlotte this coming season. Kershaw was ranked #97 in the Prep Hoops Top 125.
Greg Archie (2017) informed Prep Hoops that he will attend Combine Academy – Atlanta next season for a post graduate year. Archie averaged 14.3 ppg, 4.2 assists, 3 rebounds and 3.4 steals for Oceanside Collegiate Academy this season. Archie a left-handed guard played at Fort Dorchester HS and Cathedral Academy in the past before landing at Oceanside Collegiate Academy this season. Archie played the AAU circuit this spring with the Premier Jammers.
Juwan Moody (2018) has decided to end his recruitment early. Moody 5’9 point guard from Conway HS has committed to East Carolina University for football. Moody plays basketball for the Tigers and runs AAU with the Ascend Ballers. Moody is ranked #42 in the Prep Hoops 2018 Palmetto State Top 80 Class.
Jimmy Fritzsche has transferred from Riverside HS to Greenville HS for next season. Fritzsche (2019) plays with the South Carolina Sonics on the AAU Circuit. Fritzsche 6’6 averaged 10 ppg last season at Riverside HS also excels on the football field.
John Butler 6’10 will enroll at Christ Church (Greenville) this coming fall. Butler (2021) 6’10 center plays with Team United AAU. Butler is from Simpsonville, SC.
