Palmetto State 2020 Kids
Prep Hoops SC joined the the family back in Mid January 2017 and we been rolling ever since. The Palmetto State is being seen in every corner from North Myrtle Beach to Cheraw to Hilton Head to Anderson.
Bret Swanson and Kyle Gibbs have been covering ground since then to make this the best site for basketball recruiting news in the Palmetto State. Prep Hoops SC will be updating the state rankings here later this month and we for sure will be adding some names to the mix.
Prep Hoops SC will expand classes with some new names and the add the new 2021 players to watch. Here are a few 2020 kids to watch for and that will be added to the new rankings here in the future.
Brenton Benson – D.W. Daniel HS (Central)
Benson plays big on both ends of the floor. Benson is a active forward who can really rebound out of his area. Benson plays with Team South Carolina on the AAU Circuit.
Malik Wiles – Legacy Charter (Greenville)
Wiles 6’2 transferred into the Lions from nearby Broome HS. Wiles averaged 7.2 ppg last season at Broome HS.
Justin Amadi – Hillcrest HS (Simpsonville)
Amadi was first seen last week at South Carolina Team Camp. Amadi was a man child on the boards on both ends of the floor.
Deshawn Murray – North Charleston HS
Murray is a very athletic kid who can really defend the passing lanes. Murray plays with a BIG-TIME MOTOR that just never seems to turn off. Murray runs AAU with Big Shots South Carolina 15U.
Kelton Talford – Great Falls HS
Talford has been up since we saw him play in high school and this spring with the Carolina Pressure. Talford 6’4 is a slender sleek who averaged 9 ppg this season at Great Falls HS.
Jayden Byrd – High Point Academy (Spartanburg)
Byrd had a great freshman season at High Point Academy where he averaged just under 20 ppg for the Class A program.
Destin Clark – Indian Land HS (Fort Mill)
Clark is built like a tank on the floor. Clark a versatile kid can play the point or defend a post on on the floor. Clark runs AAU with Team Charlotte.
Payton Lewis – St James HS (Murrells Inlet) (pictured on front)
Lewis is a unknown who runs with the Manzer Basketball Club on the Grand Strand. Lewis a deceptive athlete won’t look to pass the eye test. Lewis is a crafty kid who can hit open shots.
