Intro: Robert Hubbard (2019)
Robert Hubbard put himself on our radar with his performance during the spring for Full Package playing up on the 17U level. He is a sophomore wing from Loyola High School. This kid can flat out shoot the rock! Hubbard drills tons of threes off the catch. Clean stroke with balance. Also mixes in a couple other moves including a shot fake followed by a step back. Has a chance to be a plus shooter with developmental upside.
Hubbard ran with the Loyola sophomore squad last year where he averaged around 15 points per contest.
“We did really well winning the conference CCL title. We played well as a team. We moved the ball well. We have some good guys coming into varsity next year so I am looking forward to that. I thought I played good. I shot it really well this year. My teammates got me the ball a lot and I hit some shots.”
He is enjoying playing with Full Package on the circuit this spring where he has got to see playing time on both the 16U and 17U teams.
“I really like it here. They give me the ball and give me confidence shooting it.”
What are the biggest assets that he brings to a team now and going forward?
“I am a strong shooter. I have been working on my ball handling and pull up game. Trying to attack the hoop more. My strong suit is definitely shooting.”
We expect Hubbard to be a big factor shooting it from the perimeter next season on the varsity level for Loyola.
