High School: Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree Part 1
Prep Hoops went to the Carvers Bay Jamboree and here in Part 1 of some of the action we saw.
Shaq Davis Summerville HS (2018)
Davis 6’7 ultra athletic combo forward controls the paint for the Green Wave. Davis will fill fill the lane in transition and likes to play above the rim. Davis will be one of the focal points for the Green Wave this year. Davis has no offers yet from football or basketball.
Jimmy Nichols Conway HS (2018) (Photo on the Front)
Nichols 6’8 left-handed power forward can shoot the ball from the mid-range to inside the paint. Nichols told Prep Hoops on Thursday he is receiving interest from the following schools: Miami (FL), Old Dominion, Longwood, Georgetown, Coastal Carolina, Arizona State, Virginia Commonwealth, Rutgers, Rhode Island, Nebraska, Murray State, College of Charleston, and Towson State. Nichols plays for Gardner Road on the Adidas circuit this spring.
Juwan Moody Conway HS (2018)
Moody 5’10 quick guard is a great defender that will create havoc on his man. Moody told Prep Hoops that South Carolina State has offered him for football. Moody will be another good piece for the Tigers this year.
Darren Grainger Conway HS (2018)
Grainger a 6’4 guard that can shoot from anywhere on the floor. Grainger is very smooth and quick with the ball. Grainger miss a lot of last year for the Tigers basketball team. Grainger is the starting quarterback for the Tigers. Grainger told Prep Hoops that Limestone has offered him a basketball scholarship.
Raiqwon O’Neal Conway HS (2018)
O’Neal is a 6’5 center for the Tigers. O’Neal has a big body and is athletic on the court. O’Neal is not afraid to draw contact in the paint. O’Neal has received over 20 plus scholarship offers for football. O’Neal and Nichols will be a great front court for the Tigers.
Devontae Mack Johnsonville HS (2019)
Mack 5’11 guard likes to really attack the basket. Mack will look to lead the Flashes this season after football season s over in the fall. Mack is a running back on the gridiron.
