Battle at the Border: Underclassmen
Prep Hoops spent Friday night at Dillon Intimidators Battle at the Border. Prep Hoops had a chance to see some great underclassmen talent for the Class of 2020-2021.
Marshall Myers (2021) Cheraw HS Big Shots Elite South Carolina 15U (picture on the front)
Myers scored 17 points in the win over the Carolina Stampede. Myers is a rising ninth grader that will play on the varsity team at Cheraw HS this coming year. Myers 5’9 point guard can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court. Myers can distribute the ball to the open man. Myers will look to help out Jalen Coit (2020) next season in the back court for the Braves.
Demonte Capehart (2020) Hartsville HS – Big Shots Elite South Carolina 15u
Capehart a 6’4 center scored 16 points in the win. Capehart is a big kid that also plays football for the Red Foxes. Capehart can block out and grab rebounds on both ends of the floor. Capehart will look to help the Red Foxes next season.
Jordan Jones (2020) Trinity-Byrnes HS (Darlington) Big Shots Elite South Carolina 15u
Jones 5’6 left handed will run the point guard spot for Big Shots Elite South Carolina 15u. Jones is quick and can drive hard to the hole. Jones scored 11 points in the win. Jones played this past season at South Florence HS. Jones informed Prep Hoops that he will transfer to Trinity-Byrnes HS for next season.
Sammy Pressley (2020) Mullins HS – Carolina Stampede
Pressley is aggressive on the rim and around the basket. Pressley 6’3 plays inside the paint for the Carolina Stampede squad. Pressley plays bigger than his size and his motor is constantly running at all times on the floor. Pressley started this season for the Auctioneers and also excels on the football field. Pressley scored 16 points in a loss to the Big Shots Elite.
Aaron Parker (2020) Hemingway HS Carolina Stampede
Parker 6’0 guard should be a key part for the years to come for the Tigers. The Tigers won a 1A State Championship this past March.
Robert Fuller (2020) Lake View HS Lake View Intimidators
Fuller 6’6 center is a raw talent with a lot of ability. Fuller really has good length. Fuller scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win over Florence International Basketball Academy (FIBA).
Several players had on different uniforms from earlier this spring. This time of the season in the Palmetto State is very limited AAU action and many of the kids are starting to play with there high school teams this coming month.
