Coker College Team Camp – Standouts
Prep Hoops took in the action from Coker College Team Camp on Friday. Here are the kids that stood out in performance while we were here today.
Grant Singleton (2018) – Lakewood HS (Sumter)
Singleton got to the basket today when he wanted to and finished well. Singleton will for sure be moving up in the new rankings that will come out later this week. Singleton will play with Team South Carolina this summer. Singleton Region Player of the Year last season for the Gators.
Diamante Brown (2018) – AC Flora HS
Brown is a physically gifted kid at 6’6. Brown nicknamed “Bam” looked to stalk the baseline today on several occasions while also handling the rock a bit. Brown plays with Upward Stars Southeast 2018. Boston College, Indiana State, Charleston Southern and College of Charleston all have kept tabs on Brown this spring.
Kris’Shawn Hickman (2018) – Darlington HS
Hickman is a jumping jack on the floor and a quick leaper. Hickman showed to knockdown the 15-17 footer today for the Falcons. Hickman is currently looking for a AAU team to play with this July.
Marlow Gilmore (2018) – Hunter-Kinard-Tyler HS (Neeses)
Gilmore has had a really good June for the Trojans. Gilmore 6’5 left-handed wing player is quick to elevate on the defensive end and really excels in the transition game. Gilmore runs with a local team in the Columbia Hoyas.
Donovan Belton (2018) – Camden HS
Belton was the surprise of the camp. Belton 6’2 left-handed wing player did it all on both ends of the floor. Belton rebounded the ball at a high level and even better made crisp passes all day long. Belton plays AAU with the South Carolina Ballers 17U. Belton will look to make a appearance in the new rankings for the 2018 class.
Tez Collins (2018) – North Augusta HS (pictured on front)
Collins is just a mismatch guy that plays so much bigger than his size at times. Collins is a fixture for the Yellow Jackets in the starting lineup.
Jalen Coit (2020) – Cheraw HS
Coit a left-handed off guard has the green light every time for the Braves. Coit averaged 24 ppg last season as a freshman too lead the Pee Dee are in scoring.
