Coastal Carolina Team Camp Standouts
Prep Hoops took in the action out in Conway, SC today on the campus of Coastal Carolina University. Here are some players that stood out in performance.
Samuel Woods (2018) – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Woods just seems to be getting better every time he steps on the floor for the Saints. Woods 6’7 left-handed post was all over the glass today and ran the floor great. Woods had several put backs. Woods is a kid who should rise up in the rankings later this month with his play this spring.
Travion McCray (2018) – West Florence HS
McCray will be the leader of the Knights offense this season with the departure of Sharone Wright Jr. McCray really can really explose to the back or knock down the mid-range jumper.
Darren Grainger (2018) – Conway HS
Grainger is a very versatile player who can play 1-3 positions on the floor, after coming back from not playing last season for the Tigers. Grainger 6’4 should be the quarterback this season for the Tigers.
Josiah James (2019) – Porter Gaud
James is ranked #2 in the 2019 here in the Palmetto State. James is very skilled and plays at just a great pace on the floor. James makes his teammates better with his unselfishness on the floor.
Aaron Nesmith (2019) – Porter Gaud
Nesmith is ranked #3 in the 2018 class recently received a offer from Charlotte. Nesmith a wing player can really stroke the ball and has great length on defense.
Mike Green (2019) – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach (pictured on front)
Green a left-handed guard is a fixture for the Saints and the leader of this SCISA team. Green has a strong basketball IQ and will look to lead the Saints back to Sumter next March.
Emorie Knox (2020) – Myrtle Beach HS
Knox seems to be filling out his body some every time Prep Hoops sees him play. Knox has great speed end to end and a endless motor that never quits. Knox is truly one of the best players in the 2020 class.
Lawton Fulford (2021) – Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach
Fulford has already played 4 years of varsity basketball at North Myrtle Beach Christian School. Fulford transferred in this off season to be a bull-eyes shooter for the Saints. Fulford has deep range on his shot after averaging 17 ppg a game last season for the Stallions as 8th grader.
