Carvers Bay Bears Jamboree Week 2
Prep Hoops took a trip inland to the Choppee Community of Georgetown County. Carvers Bay HS is hosting its second week of camp at the Bears Jamboree. Here are 5 players that stood out today.
Kobe Praylow (2018) – Hannah-Pamplico HS (pictured on front)
Praylow stands just 5’8 but he looks to score the ball from all over the floor. Praylow has a unusual looking shot and tends to be a bit of a volume shooter for the Raiders. Praylow averaged 21.7 ppg last season for the Raiders. Praylow ran with the Carolina Stampede this past spring on the AAU circuit.
Kyron Gray (2018) – Hartsville HS
Gray 6’8 tends to get better every time we see him play. Gray runs the floor and alters shots on the defensive end. Gray used a nice little jump-hook to finish around the cup. Gray plays AAU with Team South Carolina. Gray averaged 10.1 ppg and 9.9 rebounds this past season for the Red Foxes.
Travis Walters (2018) – Loris HS
Walters stands just 6’2 but plays so much bigger than his size. Walters is for sure the go-to guy for the Lions. Walters rebounds very well on both ends of the floor and tends to play better in the paint than away from the basket. Walters averaged 9.9 ppg and 11.7 rebounds. Walters plays football and recorded 25 receptions – 343 yards and 66 tackles on the defensive side of the ball last season. Walters plays with the Ascend Ballers on the AAU circuit.
Jordan Cantey (2018) – Kingstree HS
Cantey 6’6 small forward looks to be playing a bit more inside today with new Jaguars Head Coach Earl Brown Jr. Cantey a bouncy wing player fills the lane in transition and is a quick leaper off the floor. Cantey is running AAU with Upward Stars Southeast 2018 in the summer. Cantey averaged 12.9 ppg, 6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks last season.
Trae Hannibal (2019) – Hartsville HS
Hannibal is a extremely athletic and explosive guard that got to the rim at will today. Hannibal also plays baseball – left fielder for the Red Foxes. Hannibal really excels in transition and in the open floor game. Hannibal plays AAU with the Carolina Wolves but it looks like a merge might be in the works with the Karolina Khaos. Hannibal and 4 of his teammates joined forces with the Karolina Khaos back in Greensboro, NC last month.
