Jacoby Bailey (2019) Barnwell HS
Bailey 5’10 left-handed point guard averaged 6.8 ppg this season. The Warhorses had a very rough year with the football team making a deep run into the State Playoffs and the loss of Senior Randall Buxton. Buxton missed majority of the season after getting into a car accident last summer. Earl Bostick and Marcus McKethan both signed NCAA D1 Scholarships for football next season. Bostick (Kansas) and McKethan (North Carolina State) .
Desmond Murray (2019) Williston-Elko HS
Murray had a good spring playing on the AAU circuit with the Aiken Select. Murray is a hybrid player who really doesn’t have a true position on the floor. Murray plays all out at all times and most effectively in the paint. Murray is a good athlete and fills the lane in transition very well. Murray averaged 11.2 ppg this season for the 19-4 Blue Devils.
KeShawn Toney (2019) Williston-Elko HS
Toney played limited this spring with the Aiken Select. Toney’s future looks to be on the gridiron playing football. Toney 6’3 plays WR/TE for the Blue Devils. Toney recently took a visit to Georgia Tech.
Jacquez Shuler (2020) Denmark-Olar HS (Denmark)
Shuler is a a RAW talent with a baby face. Shuler 6’4 has the ability to face-up from 8-10 feet. Shuler has to figure out if he wants to be serious about playing basketball. Shuler plays AAU with the Orangeburg Xpress.
Harold Johnson (2020) Denmark-Olar HS (Denmark)
Johnson a slender-sleek left-handed guard has seen action on the varsity the past few seasons for the Vikings.
Malik Palmer (2020) Denmark-Olar HS (Denmark)
Palmer 5’11 really likes to slash to the basket. Palmer dives on the floor for every loose ball. Palmer and Johnson both play AAU with Central Carolina Force.
JaQuavian James (2020) Blackville-Hilda HS (Blackville)
Kuwahn Odom (2020) Blackville-Hilda HS (Blackville)
Adonis Davis (2021) Blackville-Hilda HS (Blackville) (pictured on front)
Davis tends to bully players in the post with his thick frame. Davis a quarterback in middle school will look to carry that over to the varsity level. Davis loves to over power players in the paint. Davis has played on the varsity hoop team for Head Coach Mike Beasley the past few seasons. Davis plays AAU with Central Carolina Force. Davis looks to be a leader a staple for the Fighting Hawks in the years to come.
The talent looks to be good in the years to come down here in Bamberg and Barnwell Counties. Stay on top of all the latest action from the Palmetto State right here.
