2019 Rankings Breakdown: Possible Summer Stock Boosters (Part 1)
As the breakdowns for the 2019 player rankings continue, we aim to highlight those who we believe could see an uptick in recruitment this summer.
Below, we run down some possible summer stock boosters that were included in the rankings:
JASON MURPHY | 6’8 C | CHAPELGATE CHRISTIAN/TEAM MELO | #17 OVERALL

Not many players in the state can match the size, speed, and agility of Murphy. Not only are his physical attributes impressive, but so is his motor. Murphy will only become more dominant as he continues to grow into his body.
JALEN WILLIS | 6’3 G | JOPPATOWNE/TEAM MELO | #33 OVERALL
Willis is a physically dominant guard who loves to compete at a high level. He defends, and always displays a high work rate. Willis is a strong finisher who seeks contact in the lane.
RAHSAAN EDWARDS | 5’10 G | GORETTI/TEAM BBC | #34 OVERALL
Not only is Rahsaan Edwards a talented scorer, but he’s a very solid defender both on and off the ball. Edwards is explosive and smooth with the ball. He is strong, very quick, and good at getting to his spots.
PHILLIP SMITH | 6’4 G | BULLIS/MID ATLANTIC SELECT | #35 OVERALL
Smith impressed us with his contributions during the IAC Championship last year, but he should only continue to develop and gain confidence. Not only has he demonstrated the ability to consistently make shots from the perimeter, but he gets others involved, defends multiple positions, and can also mix it up in the paint.
JASON GIBSON | 6’0 G | SIDWELL FRIENDS/6TH MAN WARRIORS | #40 OVERALL

While he may not pass the initial eye test, there is no question that Gibson is a big time player. Not only is he a prolific three point threat from the catch and off the dribble, but Gibson is also a creative and crafty finisher at the rim. He’s a high IQ defender, and is always alert off the ball.
