Recruiting Report: Andre White (2019)
Harvest Christian 2019 point guard Andre White is a quick and shifty lead guard that has the ability to push the tempo, get others involved, and score when opportunities present themselves. We caught up with White to get the latest on his season, spring, and recruitment.
White was part of an upcoming young program at Harvest Christian which made noise with three high profile players this past year.
“Our high school season went well. We went from a complete unknown to being known so it was pretty successful in our eyes. Next year should be much better. I felt I could have done more. I missed 10 games with an ankle injury. I did pretty good.”
He broke down his game.
“I am more of a true PG. I find shooters and can knock down shots. I get in the paint and feed my bigs. Play D. I make sure everyone gets involved.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I recently got offered my Northern Illinois. Cleveland State is looking at me hard. Nebraska as well.”
He went into depth about the NIU offer and what he likes about the program in his backyard.
“It was pretty exciting. I was happy to get it. I wasn’t expecting it. It was very exciting. They were like how does it feel to be our first 2019 offer? I said it feels good. I like their coach a lot. He is pretty tough on the point guards. I like having coaches on my back and letting me know what I need to do.”
Cleveland State has also expressed significant interest.
“I know the assistant coach that just transferred there from NIU. He was on me pretty heavy there. He was at our live period.”
White also recently picked up an offer from North Dakota.
