Recent Signee Updates
6’4 SG Connor Fulton, (Alta High School, Las Vegas Prospects)
I believe the entire state had a double-take when they heard that Connor Foulton was going to be a Butler Bulldog. The truth is that Connor is a good kid with a lot of upside, so don’t be fooled, Connor can play! He is a high-academic player that has a motor to compete. Connor has been bulking up the past few years and when he get’s on campus and starts to workout with the team he has the ability to transform into a quality player for Butler. At 6’4 Connor can shoot and get to the basket, learning how to defend at a high level on every possession will be key for him to see the floor.
6’2 PG Dason Youngblood (Bingham High School/Exum Elite)
Dason recently signed his letter of intent to play in the NWAC at Skagit Valley College, WA. What did SVC get, well they got an absolute competitor who is a winner. Dason will be able to contribute right away as a point guard or shooting guard. With Dason being a qualifier I can see him playing one year and then ending up at a D1 or his choice at a D2.
6’2 PG Nico Aguire, (Layton Christian Academy)
Nico battled injuries all year but was able to get healthy enough to help guide his team to a State Championship. Nico is a fierce competitor that is a pass first point guard which will serve him well with the players he will around him at College of Southern Idaho. Nico is not a pass first point guard because he can’t score he just knows how to get his teammates open. CSI could be a great place for Nico to develop his game.
6’0 PG Connor Shaw, (Weber)
Connor Shaw was an underrated player all year but the kid could flat out score. Connor has signed with the Umpqua Riverhawks in the NWAC. Umpqua had great success with a similar player to Connor in Grant Ellison who recently signed to play for D2 Westminster College, UT after being named Freshman of the Year. Connor does have big shoes to fill but I believe he will do just fine. This is a fantastic pick-up by Coach Leeworthy.
6’3 PG/SG Mikey Hernandez, (Kearns)
Mikey has signed with Columbia Basin College, WA who plays in the NWAC. Mikey is a smooth lefty that can get to the basket and shoot. Mikey should be able to develop well at CBC if they let him play up and down and shoot. Mikey is also a strong player that could get stronger if he commits to the weight room, the tools are there for him to have a great 2 years with high productivity.
